Nokia CEO Stephen Elop announced that they are all set to release company’s first MeeGO- based handset Nokia N9. This announcement was made at the Nokia Connection event that started on 20th June in Singapore.
Nokia N9 is equipped with 1 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM and also has 16/64 GB of storage memory. It also sports an 8-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, which can easily record 720p video, it supports Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi NFC and GPS.
The screen is 3.9-inch curved glass AMOLED, and it’s covered in a polycarbonate case (there are no buttons on front). It’s available in three colors: black, cyan and magenta.
The only thing which makes N9 different and interesting from other Nokia handset is the software: MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan.
It’s really very hard to say anything about MeeGo before testing the device. The GUI on N9 is very flashy, which enables users to switch between an app grid and applications view with a touch of the finger.
