Applications Galore for Blackberry Users!

Time was when Blackberry smartphones meant only work and still more work. All work and no play or in other words meant Blackberry became a very staid and unexciting kind of phone device in the minds of customers all over.

But RIM has changed all this perception by infusing a number of applications in its world famous Blackberry smartphone handsets. Believe it or not, most of them have got nothing at all to do with work. What a relief!

The  first few applications that immediately come to the mind are the radio stations, Of course.

Nobex, for instance, is an ideal replacement for your FM radio. But 3G connectivity, in fact, you can pour over hours and hours of music through wi-fi. Available both as a free option as well as a priced premier edition, Nobex is something you should not ignore. It is advisable here to check out the data costs involved.

The Didiom Pro application allows you to stream music on to your PC. It goes without saying here that you have to get this application on to your PC to get started.

Avoiding plugging in to wi-fi and still be able to stream audio is also possible with the Music with Me application. Here 3G will help. As the app will require the same to identify playlists from iTunes and then steam them on to the Music with Me service and then download them on to your handset.

Kayak is an extremely useful application to have if you are travellling. For details relating to hotel accommodation to flights, they are all there in this veritable treasure trove of information. Even information on baggage fee are provided.

Grabbing constantly contact details from your E-mails, SMSs, phone calls, etc and arranging them systematically in order to create a well organized contact base is Xobni. The only basis that this application uses is the frequency of your interactions with the contacts.

Documents to Go is for those users who need to create new documents, web pages constantly check for spelling errors and so on.

There are similarly no less than about 50 odd applications covering various areas of user requirements.

At the end, it is better not to have the Where is My Phone? App as this will come handy only when you have misplaced or simply lost your phone handset.
